Dorothy’s Yummy Cinnamon Rolls

Preparation time: 40 minutes Serves: 8

3 cups flour      
1/8 cup sugar      
1/4 cup baking powder
Pinch of salt

2/3 cup cold butter
1 egg
1/4 cup softened butter
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup icing/confectioners sugar

Put dry ingredients all in large bowl, then cut in 2/3 cup cold butter, add 1 egg and 11/2 cups milk, with as little mixing as possible. Roll flat.  Spread with about 1/4 cup softened butter and then sprinkle with mixture of 1 1/2 cups brown sugar and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Roll up and cut into 1/4 - 1/2 inch slices. Bake at 350 oven until lightly browned. Drizzle frosting made of a mixture of icing sugar and milk.  Serve oven hot or at room temperature with a freshly steeped cup of tea.
