Easy Christmas Shortbread Cookies

1 cup butter
2 ¼ cups flour
½ cup sugar

Cream butter, gradually blend in sugar. Blend in flour gradually. Turn dough on lightly floured board and knead slightly. Roll out ¼ inch thickness. Put cherries on before baking). Using various holiday and Christmas themed cookie cutters, cut in shapes. Bake at 300 degrees for 15-20 mins. Glaze and/or sprinkle to decorate. It doesn’t get easier than these tasty festive treats!
